My name is Brandon Julien. I want to thank you for taking the time to observe my work. Much of my Imagery is influenced by my upbringing. While I don't like to address my childhood too much as I think its relevance isn’t necessarily important. I will however say what inspires me is much of the time and effort my mother put into raising me. I think seeing that really curated how I developed my eye for taking pictures. For me photographs are supposed to tell stories. Being from New York City there is always a story to tell. Most people look at me as the quiet kid but in truth I’m not. My personality is loud and animated. For the most part I feel a lot, and empathize with many. That to me is what photography should be. It’s art.
